This past weekend, the team traveled to Atlanta, Georgia to compete at the Championship competition. The team uncrated the robot and did some work on it Wednesday night. All of Thursday morning was spent making more modifications to the bot and passing a rigorous inspection process.
Thursday afternoon, the team competed in 3 qualification matches. Technical problems prevented the team from competing in the first of those matches. During the next match, the robot got over turned which resulted in yet, another loss. The last match that the team competed in for the day also resulted in a loss. However, the drive team was able to show the crowd what the robot is really made out of.
On Friday, the team competed 5 more matches. During the first match of the day, the robot got over turned again which resulted in the team losing the match. Over the next 3 matches, the team performed very well, but not well enough to win any of the matches. As the team got tired, and was ready to head to bed, they competed in one last match for the day, which resulted in the team's first win.
Saturday morning was spent playing in two more qualification matches. The first match was played extremely well. The team played well with their alliancepartners. The following match, the last match for the team, resulted in a upsetting lost.
Even though the team was seeded in last place, not all hope of making it into the elimination matches were gone. There was still hope that the team would get picked during the alliance selection where the top eight seeded teams pick two other teams to be on their alliance. As the selections came to an end, the team was disappointed that they didn't make it into the elimination matches, but they were satisfied that they played their hardest, and gave it all they had. The team is looking forward to next season and is ready for any challanges that may come their way
